Get the most out of the summer on their cycleways and shared paths with their bike skills and safety workshop.

For families with children aged between eight and sixteen years.

Learn and perfect your riding skills including:
Setting the bike up correctly (set height and brake position)
Correctly mounting and dismouting
Power pedal and riding techniques
Braking techniques (control break and emergency braking)
Indirect riding and cornering
Hand signals and avoiding hazards

You'll also get tips on:
Correctly fitting your bike helmet
What to wear when riding
How to perform a bicycle safety check
How to ride safely with children.

Note that children and adults must be able to ride independently in order to participate in this workshop (no training wheels).

Bring your own bike and helmet. Presented by Rideability - Cycle Education.
