It's a little quirky, fully immersive, fabulously educational and strangely addictive...

For ages 3 through to tweens, teens to grandparents there is something a little mind blowing for every family member when they step inside Science Space at the Innovation Campus, North Wollongong...

Whilst there are over 90 interactive exhibits to explore, crazy science shows and of course the most digitally advanced planetarium in Australia to marvel at, here are our fave five things to stuck into at Science Space!

No.1 Science Shows

The Science Theatre offers an array of FUN and educational science shows for ages 6+. From exploding balloons to liquid nitrogen these shows explore the wonders of science. For all ages.

No2. Planetarium

The centre houses the DIGISTAR 6 Planetarium system, the largest and most digitally advanced planetarium in the state. Watch as day turns into night as you explore stars and constellations! Experience full-dome immersive shows and learn about topics such as the universe, dinosaurs, the evolution of life and the night sky. All ages, family-friendly FUN. 

No.3 Vertical Wind Tunnel - For the younger kids and kids at heart! 


The Wind Tunnel is guaranteed to unleash the childish joy in visitors of ALL ages. Simply press the green button to get going as you test different objects flight. Turn the dial to adjust the speed and try to keep the smile off your faces! 

No.4 Energy Bike/Radar Gun - Great for the over 7 crowd! Challenge yourself against your friends!


Energy Bike: Get on the bike and start pedalling. How many lights can you light up?  


Radar Gun: This exhibit tests your speed and accuracy. Throw the ball at the target. How fast can you throw?  

No.5 Building Wall/Pulley System - Your child can release their inner builder at our building wall as they learn to use a pulley system! Popular with the under 7 crowd.
